Claude co-founded Robust Technologies in 2006. With over 34 years of experience in developing financial software applications, Claude Giguere is a seasoned expert in the field, dedicating 29 years to specializing in investment performance solutions. His unparalleled expertise in this domain is acknowledged worldwide, reflected in his regular presentations at numerous conferences across Canada, the USA, and Europe.
Beyond speaking engagements, Claude serves as a member of the advisory board of The Journal of Performance Measurement, a testament to his prominence in the industry. His consultancy roles have been pivotal, including his collaboration with the CFA Institute in crafting their Certification in Investment Performance Measurement program (CIPM). Notably, he co-authored the CIPM Level II Reading on Fixed Income Attribution and lent his expertise to the Paris-based reflection group on fixed income attribution (“G.R.A.P.”).
Prior to co-founding Robust Technologies, Claude Giguere spent 13 years at Financial Models Company (FMC, now SS&C), where he played a crucial role as the product manager for their SYLVAN performance and attribution software. His career journey also encompassed positions at Crédit Lyonnais and La Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec.
In the early 1990s, he led the development of the Sylvan project for Financial Models Company as the lead architect. In 2006, driven by his passion for cutting-edge technology, Chris co-founded Robust Technologies. His vision was to create and deliver the most advanced commercial performance measurement software available.
Throughout his career, Chris has consistently demonstrated his exceptional talent and expertise, earning him a reputation as one of the top-rated software engineers. His ability to craft innovative solutions has enabled him to tackle even the most complex programming challenges with ease.
Beginning his journey as a report analyst, he swiftly transitioned into the realms of analytics and Business Intelligence (BI). A decade later, he redirected his focus to database development, where he discovered his passion for optimizing and streamlining databases.
Since then, Sean's primary focus has been on crafting robust database solutions, with a keen emphasis on achieving exceptional performance and sustainable architectural designs. Having been featured over 40 times on SQLServerCentral.com, Sean's expertise is widely recognized. Many of his database scripts have been integrated into various DBA toolkits, further solidifying his reputation as an authority in the field.
With nearly 20 years of expertise in investment performance, risk analysis and institutional client reporting, Ed brings a wealth of knowledge to Robust, particularly in the realm of GIPS® standards. He joined the company after an eight-year tenure at Vontobel Asset Management, where he most recently served as Director and Head of Performance and was instrumental in enhancing investment communication and data management structure. Prior to his time at Vontobel, Ed held notable leadership positions at J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley.
Ed holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from Baruch College in New York, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia. He is also a distinguished CFA® Charterholder. Residing in northern New Jersey with his wife, son and loyal Maltipoo companion named Buddy, Ed enjoys hiking, traveling and playing golf.
